The Star
There was no star for shepherd's eyes
To guide them to their new born King.
The Angel spoke the joyous news;
They heard the heavenly choir sing.
What Joy was theirs as they beheld
The heaven's grandeur round about--
The love, the peace, all heaven's voice
Combined in one most Holy Shout.
To Mary, Joseph, and the Babe
In lowly manger lying there;
They then made known to all about,
That all may hear, that all may share.

The wise men from the east beheld
The Star, and to Jerusalem.
And Herod, hearing, did inquire,
To know the place: in Bethlehem.
The star shown brightly o'er the house
Where Jesus, as a young Child, dwelt.
No manger there, no crib, no straw.
They bowed and worshipped as they felt
The Holy Power, overwhelmed, to know
God's mighty words fulfilled, then they,
In humble gratitude, gave gifts
On bended knee; O wondrous day!
But not again to Herod. NO!
The angel warned of Herod's plot.
Another way unto the east;
For they had found what they had sought.
HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH1 HALLELUJAH! For evermore.
